SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH

When speaking of promises from Our Father, Psalms 91 has to be at the top of the list. Those who believe reside in a protected secret place of the most High? All the following promises which include, protection from snares of the enemy, protection from pestilence, terrifying circumstances, evil and plagues, and a long life are given to those who believe IF they (1) trust God, (2) make him their habitation, (3) set their love upon him, and (4) call upon him.

Scripture:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalms 91:1-15)

GOD’S PROMISE TO THE NATION

A promise of prosperity, safety, peace, and protection from evil, plus victory over enemies is made to the nation that keeps and does God’s statues and commandments.

Scripture:
If ye walk in my statues, and keep my commandments and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. For I will have respect unto your and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. (Leviticus 26:3-8)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that a nation that keeps God’s word will be blessed beyond measure.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

Protected by Truth

Watering the Garden
PROTECTED BY TRUTH

It is important for us as Christians to understand that God’s words of truth are the armor that protects us against the dark and wicked powers of evil in this world. As the book of John proclaims in 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Truth in God’s word is our protection. That is why it is impartitave that we heed these words of Paul, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2nd Timothy 2:15)

Scripture:
For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. (Psalms 33:4)

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalms 91:4)

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? (Jeremiah 23:29)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand, Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. (Ephesians 6:10-14)

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (James 1:18)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
In order to be protected from evil we need to arm ourselves with truth from God’s Word

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
