God Hides His Face

GOD HIDES HIS FACE

Many have asked the question, “Why does God allow bad things to happen, or why doesn’t he answer my prayers?” There are a couple of scriptures which may shed some light on this question. God says he may hide himself from man because man has turned to other gods, or because he has forget God and shows no faith. He also hides his face from those who do not consider God’s words as valuable?

Scripture:
Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them: so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? And I will surly hide my face in that day for all the evils, which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods. (Deuteronomy 31:17-18)

Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and has forgotten God that formed thee. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them; I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. (Deuteronomy 32:18-20)

Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings. (Micah 3:4)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
We have learned that because of mans actions God at times hides himself from them.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.

Weary God

Weary God

Our Father grows weary of man twisting his words by saying evil is good, or good is evil. There are many examples of this which can be found today. Certain words that are said and repeated over and over again began to appear as truth when they are not. A good example of this is found in the expression “Political Correct” which has been at the root of many of these deceptions.

Words are twisted to such an extreme that many begin to feel they are saying something wrong when they are saying something right. One example of this would be saying “Merry Christmas” and being convinced you are saying something wrong because someone may be offended. Another even more foolish example would be those who who are told they can pray, but don’t use the name of Jesus in order not to offend someone. I have a difficult time writing this because it sounds so silly, but it is happening.

Scripture:
Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, everyone that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them, or, where is the God of judgment? (Malachi 2:17)

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. (Jeremiah 4:22)

And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:3)

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
Our Father gets tired of people twisting the truth by saying good is evil and evil is good.

Our Father appreciates the fact that you are trying. May God’s blessing be upon this
study of His word, Amen.
